Works have been taking place on site to drill 16 new wells to improve gas extraction. Unfortunately this has created some temporary odour which has been exacerbated by the still weather conditions slowing its dispersal.
We are working flat out to complete the new wells by the end of today and then have them all connected up within the next 24 hours so that we can turn the extraction up. We have also installed a second carbon silo in the gas compound. This acts as a filter to draw the H2S out of the extracted gas.
We apologise for the odour, but it is a temporary issue and as with all engineering works, our aim is to continually improve the site and its performance.
